Our first workshop ran on 21 December 2021 at FME, GIK Institute — one day, one laboratory, laser fabrication of microfluidic devices. Since then we have delivered twenty events and trained more than 1100 participants across three major cities.

The subject range widened as demand did: academic writing in 2022 and 2023, future fuels research in December 2023, lab-on-a-chip, nanotechnology and biomedical sciences through August 2024, and AR/VR and digital twin work from October 2024 onwards.

The format widened too. Early events were single days in a seminar hall. The CATCH_VR Bootcamp is residential, runs for weeks, and is split into parallel cohorts so lab access stays realistic.

What has not changed is the rule we started with: every programme ends with participants having built, tested or demonstrated something themselves. Attendance is not the outcome we measure.

Every past event, with its dates, venue, partner institutions and photographs, is listed on the events page.
