XR Summit recap: three ideas that stuck with us

Our first national XR Innovation Summit brought together educators, engineers, and participants from twelve cities. Three ideas from the day have stayed with us, and all three are already changing how we plan next year's programmes.

The first: accessible hardware is not a niche concern. Nearly every school we spoke to said the same thing — the bottleneck is not curiosity, it is cost. Expect more of our sessions to be designed around equipment that schools can realistically source and repair locally.

The second: local-language interfaces matter more than local-language content. Participants were clear that they can follow English material, but an interface that greets, guides, and confirms in their own language changes who feels the technology is for them.

And the third came from the schools themselves, in the closing session: stop sending us finished courses, they asked — send us kits and let our students build alongside yours. That request is now a pilot programme, and we will have more to announce soon.
